Leveling Kit Questions

Hey guys. I am new to this site and have found it to be extremely helpful. I have read through many of the threads and think I know the answer to my main question, but before I shell out the money on new rims and tires I want to be sure it will work. I have a 2004 Silverado 1500 Ext Cab 4x4. I want to put 285/75/16LT tires(33") on 16x8 rims under it. Does anyone know for sure if a leveling kit will give me the clearance I need in the front? From what I have read, I think that it should. Also, is there a certain brand of leveling kit which can more lift than others or a certain brand to stay away from? I am going to have it done at Diversified Truck in Toledo so that I don't screw it up. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

all a leveling kit does is tighten your torsion keys, you can safely raise these 1.5 ", you should be able to just tighten you stock keys and not have to spend money, you might have to put a 1" block on the rear so everything looks ok

Hi there and welcome to GM Trucks! I haven't done a leveling, so I can't really help there. But lots of other folks here will be able to chime in.
