Well, AC/DC is coming to town Nov 23rd. Tickets went on sale a few weeks ago and I attempted to get tickets literally the moment they went on sale on Ticketmaster at 10:00am. NO LUCK!!! It was already sold out....to Pre-sale and AC/DC fanclub members.

Well, they added a 2nd show, on Jan 19th. Tickets went on sale this morning at 10:00am, so I tried again. Got me 4 tickets, lower level, 24th row. Tickets were $89.50 each, but add in all of the "extra" charges and the total for 4 tickets came to $422.17. :jester:

Oh well, I have been an AC/DC fan since high school (just a FEW years ago  ) and surprisingly I have never seen them in concert. I hope they play alot of older stuff, cuz their new hit "Rock and Roll Train" pretty much sucks. As did most of their "Ballbreaker" album. I haven't heard any other songs off their new album yet.

A friend of mine hit me up about going to this show down in Houston, Tx for 2 bills a ticket the other day....obviously I declined but it should be a good time. I did manage to see them several times back in the late 70's for about $10.00 a show.

That's awesome Jeff! AC/DC is one of my all-time favorite bands. I listen to them all the time on XM, they have their own channel!!

Have fun!

Hope you have a blast. I can remember every show I went to see back in the 70's cost around $5. Even the World Series of Rock at the old Cleveland Municipal Stadium, that had 5 or 6 major bands only cost $5. :D

I don't mean to be cynical, but good luck with that one. Every time someone I know has gone to a 'new-reincarnation-of-an-old-band" concert, it's been a big disappointment. :D

I hope for your sake, and your wallet's sake that they play a good show, I just wouldn't get my hopes up too high for a bunch of 60 something-year-olds.

AC/DC never died, so how can they be "reincarnated"?

Not a huge fan of their new stuff, but I am sure at least 1/2 of the show will be their older stuff.

it's just a concert, I am sure it will be a great time. $200 night out won't kill my pocketbook.

I am actually more looking forward to the Aussie Floyd show on Nov 14th. They are doing "The Wall".

I think it sounds like a good show. I got talked into a show last year here with Huey Lewis and Chicago. (yeah - I never really liked either one) and the show was FANTASTIC. I didn't expect to even be entertained and it was great.

You just never know. AC/DC might tear the place down.

Didn't they have a few-year hiatus? Maybe I just started ignoring them for a few years... (I don't like their new stuff either )

And the Floyd show should be awesome. Make sure to get some pictures, if you can. :D

Good idea! Will do. :D

Leave it to Dan to ask for pictures.

I guess you could call the "Ballbreaker" era a hiatus. That album sucks!!!

Hey, pictures = less reading. What would you rather do, read a 5 paragraph description of the stage, or look at a picture? :P

And I just don't really like the whole Brian Johnson era, Back in Black is their last album that I really liked. Bon Scott era FTW!

The thing I hate about Johnson, is his voice is obviously fake/exaggerated. It's a copy of Bon Scott, and he just took it way too far.

I agree. Back in Black was awesome (but still not as good as Bon Scott) and it went downhill from there.

That song off their new album Black Ice called "Rock and Roll Train" wouldn't be too bad if not for the gay back-up vocals......"runnin right off the track" :D
