Anyone Have Ruby Red Metallic

Recommended Posts

So my dad is getting ready to get a new 2009 Avalanche. He has narrowed down his colour to either Victory Red or Ruby Red Metallic. He's straying away from Victory Red because my truck is Victory Red so he wants to be different. Anyway, it seems that this colour is not very popular and I can't find a decent picture of it anywhere. I tried searching the forum and I even did a google image search. I found an HD silverado but I would like to get a picture of an Avalanche/Tahoe with this colour since they both have the same front end. If any of you guys have a Ruby Red Metallic truck I would appreciate if you could please post a picture. Thanks.

Chrysler calls this color "inferno red" and charges $ 200 extra for it on all cars and trucks. I believe you have to pay extra for this color too on some GM cars too - like Impala for example. Gm calls this color "red tintcoat" on some cars. And they charge about $ 250 extra for it. Must be more expensive paint.

I think in the earlier years this was called Sport Red Metallic, at least that is the color of my 04 Z71 Tahoe.

Here's my 08 Silverado in Deep Ruby Metallic.

If they ever stop making Black or Gray trucks, this would be the color I would get.

Is Garnet Red metallic? And your old GMT400 doesn't look the same shade of red as the last pics you posted. Could be lighting I suppose since that last pic doesn't look like the Tahoe either.

My picture sucks. It was a shitty pic to begin with and was scanned in.

As for the metallic, yeah, garnet red was metallic.

It's hard telling though. I'm sure with the new formulas, etc. there are differences in the color, they're just close is all.
