When 2009 Sierra?

I stopped by a GMC yesterday and was surprised to learn that the 2009 Sierra has not been delivered to the dealerships yet, at least the one I visited. When are they supposed to be available?

Thanks for the list of dealers. However, the first one on the list is the dealer I visited. They said their '09s haven't come it yet. Strange.

Speculation: Might have been a sales tactic to get rid of the 2008s.

AutoTrader.com is comprised of what the dealership uploads in regards to their inventory...

Of the 6 GM dealers we visited or called last week, only 3 of them had 2009 trucks in stock, 2 were regular cab models and 1 extended cab. Several said they had trucks in transit buy could predict when they would arrive.

Last year at this time all the dealers were flush with new trucks. Some of the dealers are just not ordering like before because of less demand for trucks/SUV's and are putting all their efforts on cars. For instance one big GMC Dealer who always has 20-30 truck on the lot, has no 2009's but has Vibe's up the wazoo. Apparent they are putting all the $$ into what is hot. If judging by the stock numbers on the Vibe's, they have sold a lot, 70 of them.

Someone I know is salesman for a full line dealer. Spoke to him the other day and he said, business is slow. When I asked about 09 truck he said the owner has said he is not ordering a lot for stock because they don't want to tie you the capital in slow movers.

Even the Ford dealer who always has the truck lot full of trucks, has hardly anything. Mostly all cars.

Dealers around here are afraid to be stuck with trucks/SUV's.
