heres the story

i drive home from work today its a 30 mile trip down the hiway. i stop at the post office

to get my mail

when i leave the truck wont shift out of first gear. so i limp it home, check the fluid level

the level is good, fluid is pink.

i looked underneath nothing leaking.

so i go take it for a spin again and it drives perfectly fine and shifts through all the gears

anyone have a idea of what it might be?

i did have a issue a few months ago with the tranny. the transmission pump seal blew

out in it. and they did have a problem with the wiring harness it would unplug itself a bit

and the truck would slam into each gear. but the truck did run fine after they fixed it all

oh by the way

the truck is a 07 nbs silv with a 5.3l

Your problem certainly sounds electrical. I'd certainly have them look at it again... You don't mention your miles but this seems like an issue you shouldn't be having on such a new truck (I know... DUH) and I'd have them make it right.

Once you do find out, post the solution here so we know what to watch out for.

It does sound like an electrical issue. Unfortunately one of those issues that the dealer won't ever be able to reproduce. Unless the computer has logged a trouble code. Good luck with it and keep us up to date on what you find out.
