Need Oem Front License Plate Mount/bracket

Hi,

 

I bought an aftermarket mount a couple years ago when I moved to Ohio where front plates are required. The mount I have has never fit well. Where can I get an OEM-style front license plate mounting bracket for my 2003 Silverado?

Depends on how far apart your two square holes on your bumper are,They had two designs for '03.........

The 1st design the holes were only a couple inches apart,Those require a plate bracket from your dealer (GM part#15197277)

The 2nd design had the holes spread apart farther to match-up with the holes in a license plate,there-by you really don't need a bracket,although the plate sits kinda' funny and crooked without one.

GM didn't really have a front plate bracket out for the 2nd design,although there was a "universal" one available from GM,it has since been discontinued.

 

If you have the 2nd design,you can do what I did with my '04,Use longer front plate screws and use some washers behind the plate to "bring it out" to make it even with the lower fascia trim (I used all stainless screws and washers)

Outstanding! I'll pull the front tag/mount Sunday and establish where the mounting holes are in the front bumper to determine whether the mounting bracket (31-3705 1st Design) or screws/grommets (31-0521 & 31-0886... 2nd Design) are the right solution!
