Suspension Vibration Or Frame Beaming

I have a whicked vibration when i drive on the highway only between the speeds of 60-70mph. the dealer said that GM has a bulletin out about it, many people have complained about it, and there is nothing to do about it that it is a characteristic of the vehicle. Have you any knowledge of this?or does anyone have the same problem out there?

yes it is a bulletin. Here are a few things the dealer can try per the bulletin. Measure the radial runout of the tires...

 

Tires with excessive Radial Force Variation (RFV) or out-of-roundness can intensify the frame beaming concern. The following radial force variation numbers should be used as a guide:

 

P-Metric tires (2wd 1500) 12 lbs or less

 

P-Metric tires (all others) 24 lbs or less

 

LT-tires 30 lbs or less

 

 

 

 

Also.. on the crew cabs and extended cabs.. the rear cab mounts should be replaced with new mounts and hardware.

 

One thing you can try.. is put 200-500 lbs in the bed of your truck.. and see if it helps rid of the shake. thats all ive got for advice.

And to be honest with you.. if the problem does not rid with these attempts.. idk how many miles are on ur truck.. but if its new new... id have GM buy it back. Cause its not right to spend 40000 on a truck and have issues like this.
