Hey there Gary. :smash:

I picked the 'Hoe up on Saturday so it's been 5 days now. So far so good! It is really nice drive a brand new vehicle. :D

I haven't noticed any issues so far, it's running really well so far. AFM seems to be working well, the switches between 4 and 8 modes are seamless. There's a little gear searching while cruising around 30MPH, but it's hardly noticeable. If I weren't being really aware of all the little details while I getting the feel of how the new 'Hoe performs and handles it probably wouldn't be noticeable. One thing I have noticed is that the performance under 3000RPM isn't all that impressive, but after that it will really stick you into your seat. In comparison to the old 'Hoe the steering is stiffer but more precise. The bigger and wider tires would play a factor here. The brakes and pedal feeling are very good. The accelerator pedal seems quite sensitive, but that is probably just me getting used to it's 'feel'.

The seats are really comfy, not as plush, but well formed. The heated seats are really nice on cold mornings. There are so many do-dads and gizmos. I think I've played with most of them. The nav system is pretty interesting, though the data on the nav disk is over a year out of date. The stereo is nice, the sound is clear though it's lacking in the bass area and seems to be missing any real 'punch'. But then I've got my own upgrades I've got planned for that. The side blind zone alert is a really nice feature and really accurate letting you know when there is something in a blind zone. Compared to my Dad's 02 Escalade there is more leg room in the front and the driver's position is more comfortable and natural to me. The new 'Hoe is wider than the old 'Hoe or the Esky.

All in all I am really happy with it. :D

The Cobalt (Otis) is really nice too. It's a very peppy car! It handles and drives really well. My wife loves the built in iPod connection (Personal Audio Link). Though it's stereo has more 'punch' and you know there is a sub-woofer there. I'm also really pleased and happy with the Cobalt. :D

RE: The lack of "punch" in the stereo, I felt the same way about the setup in mine, when I bought it. I found the stereo controls and turned down the mid-range. That seemed to bring the deeper tones better.

Glad to hear you guys are liking both vehicles so well! :smash:

I did find the audio controls and did fiddle with the bass, treble, and mid settings with little effect. It is a thing with the Bose that it increasingly limits bass response as the volume increases to protect the speakers. I don't know what the crossover settings are but they seem oddly set. It almost seems like the range between 80 and 200 Hz is mostly missing or being under amplified.

Another odd thing, there is no built in equalizer. There are controls for fade, balance, bass, treble, mid range. Also DSP modes for normal, surround, rear, and driver. Even the Cobalt and my old 'Hoe had the preset equalizer settings.

I've had two new cars(actually one was a 79 F250,and the other was a 73 Vega) in my life and it was a great feeling.Love that new car smell....

It seemed like a long time, but really it was only just over 5 months. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to get the new 'Hoe and Cobalt. :smash:

Come the new year after the 'Hoe is nicely 'broken in', I'll be talking to Justin about having a tune done.

There is something about the new car smell, also the smell of fresh leather. :D

Hmmm, for some reason, talking about "Hoes" and "Leather" together just sounds a little wrong. :smash:
