Engine To Lean

1999 silverado 294 cu in 171 and 174 code engine to lean ,no vacuum leaks, new fuel filter, 50 lbs pressure on fuel pump book says 45 to 60 lb ,injectors clean , any ideas on how to cure

I had these codes on a Nssan Maxima. I cleaned the MAF sensor and cleared codes, but they came back. I then changed brands of gasoline. Codes did not come back. Possibly more than 10% ethanol? Maybe. Hope this helps.

A leak in your intake tubing can cause these codes.

forgot to mention comes and goes ,sprayed around each of compents with alchol to see if would change engine performance

Yes, you are right.

 

Cold engine...intake gaskets leak ALOT. Hot engine...barely leak. "come and go"

 

CHANGE THE INTAKE GASKETS...BELIEVE ME.
