Where Is The Onstar Box In Nbs '07 Silverado?

I'm in the process of putting a OE Nav radio into a non-bose '07 Silverado. With the lux dash the onstar box was right under the radio, that is not the case with the non-lux dash. I'm adding the voice wire harness with it's two wires which need to go to the onstar box. Anyone know where the onstar box in NBS '07 Silverado? Is it on the passenger side behind the glove box or is that the XM?

Thanks for the help. On my '07 Tahoe w/bose the onstar box was right under the radio. On your LTZ, does it have the lux dash? My Silverado has the truck (non-lux) dash with the dual glove boxes in front of the passenger and I sure can't put eye's on the onstar box.. yet.

HI, I HAVE A 2008 SILVERADO LTZ AND MY ONSTAR BOX WAS RIGHT BEHIND THE RADIO CAVITY PLASTIC, LOWER THAN THE RADIO. I WAS ABLE TO INSERT THE PLUG INTO THE 3RD. SLOT IN THE BACK OF THE ONSTAR BOX BY REACHING IN BEHIND THE FLOOR CONSEL FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE. THE BOX BY THE GLOVE BOX IS FOR THE XM. SAM

Really? So the black and red wires (with pins) are put into the existing black plug from the radio? Then gray plug (at the other end of those 2 wires) plugs into the onstar box? Thought the Nav radio's have 4 plugs on the back? Have yet to see the OE nav radio so I am just going with what I've read so far. Thanks again

ALSO, THE TWO MALE ENDS GO INTO THE EXISTING BLACK PLUG IN THE BACK OF THE RADIO. ON THE SIDE OF THE BLACK PLUG IS A GREY PLASTIC SQUARE. PULL THIS OUT FROM THE PLUG AND INSERT THE TWO WIRES IN THE PROPER HOLE 4 AND 5 IN THE TOP ROW OF THE BLACK PLUG. THEN REINSERT THE GREY PLASTIC PIN TO HOLD THE NEW WIRES IN. THE OTHER END GOES IN THE 3RD PLUG IN SLOT IN THE ONSTAR UNIT.

Believe it or not the VSS wire is in and was rather easy since I had detailed instructions for that. I've been in the dash so many times working on things but darn it who moved that onstar box Anyone have a picture of it?

YOU WILL NEED A VSS WIRE, IT WILL BE A BROWN PLUG THAT GOES IN THE FORTH PLUG SLOT IN THE BACK OF THE NAV. RADIO. YOU WILL THEN RUN THE GREEN WIRE TO THE VSS WIRE BY THE E BRAKE. I HAVE THE LTZ DASH, WOOD TRIM. YOUR ONSTAR BOX SHOULD BE THERE. IT IS VERY HARD TO SEE. I USED A PAIR OF LONG NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS TO HOLD THE GREY PLUG AT THE 3RD SLOT, THEN PUSHED IT IN WITH MY OTHER HAND. VERY TIGHT, BUT DO ABLE. I REMOVED TWO PIECES OF THE SIDE PANELS OF THE CONSEL TO GET TO THIS BOX. THEY JUST UNSNAPED. EMAIL ME AT [email protected] IF YOU HAVE ANYMORE QUESTIONS

FYI,

The onstar box in the non-lux dash's is behind the curved fascia right in front of the middle seat. It's even easier to make the plug's than on the lux dash since once your pop the bottom of the fascia the plugs are right there.
