courtableau Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 I just recently upgraded my single cd am,fm delco Us8 radio to a 2007 chevy 1500 US9,6 disk cd am,fm radio.My truck has the bose system.Now the chime is very loud and also the turn signals. the radio has a lot more power I find.can anyone help me on this problem. also brought to local dealer and he said theres no programming they can do from the tech2.but he will check with there tech help department.

You can change the volume of chimes in the DIC, assuming you have a DIC

You can change the volume of chimes in the DIC, assuming you have a DIC Yeah, but you can only change it from Normal to Loud. The problem is that the chime and turn signals sound come out of that front left tweeter. Now that you are pushing more wattage to that tweeter, it will be loud. I am in the same boat, but I believe to a larger degree. I recently replaced my speakers up front and added an Alpine amp. My chime and turn signals are ridiculously loud! I haven't found a fix yet. Hopefully, someone will "chime" in with an alternate solution.
