Do you have any idea how much work that is and how many problems you're going to run into?

Well considering he paid $8200 for it,And it stickered for $43,720 (Even GMS employee price was $38,549) He can have all kinds of problems for the money he'll save by rebuilding it. :dunno:

A buddy of mines been doing this for years,Buying wrecks and rebuilding them for him and his wife.

We're all friends here. :dunno:

Maybe stocktrp meant to say "How interesting? Do you have an estimate of how much money and time it will take? I am interested in this myself, could there be a lot of unforeseen issues with buying a wrecked vehicle?"

Hi there and welcome to GM Trucks! :dunno:

Looks like it will be an interesting project rebuilding the truck. And frame damage? Looks to be some on the right hand side.

Oh I know,I wasn't being a smartass....You can save a lot of $$$ by buying these.

It just depends on how much of the labor you can do yourself, and if you buy new GM parts or used parts, and of course what you pay for those parts.

The biggest issue you "could" run into is that most of the time they have a "branded title" and therefore the warranty is blocked and voided by GM (IE-You have no warranty) So if the motor or tranny decides to "take a dump" your responsible for paying for the repairs,But like I said,If you buy them right and can do the work yourself (Or most of it) you can afford to pay for future repairs.

I got a NAV DVD from my 07....if this might work for you...I'd part with it for a Fair Price...I simply upgraded to the new 08 Version for about $175....
