2008 Sierra Vibrations

I have a 08 sierra w/27000 miles, had some vibration in the front end so i had the factory goodyears rebalanced and rotated and the problem didnt go away,I figured it was a broken belt in the tire(s) so I had them replaced with some new Pirellis. The vibration is still there so I took the truck back to get the new tires rebalanced, now the vibration is not near as bad as it was but there is still a slight one.Only other thing I can think of is that the brake rotor may be warped?Help....

It is possible that they keep balancing the wheels wrong. A warped rotor would not cause a vibration, only brake chatter when brakes are applied.

Find a tire place that has a Hunter 9700 series road force balancer and have the tires road force checked and balanced there.

Do you have the factory wheels or did you add different ones? I have been hearing problems on some after markets wheels (cheaper ones) that they are not machined exactly to fit the lugs, mm's off and thus are never properly seated on the hubs and cause problems under highway conditions.

I have to agree, its the tires IMO also.

The fact that is got better is proof of that. Very few tire shops know how to or care to fine tune a tire balance. Close enough is the norm for many. I once had a problem with new tires that vibrated at highway speeds. Went back to the GY to complain and they re-balanced tires with only 100 miles on them and they were out of balance. So they balanced them again and it was the same. The next day I went right to the manager to complain, he personally balanced them and they came out perfect. I asked him how come the other 2 guys could not do this (same shop) and his reply was. Only 1 out of 100 come back to complain and when they do they are supposed to fine tune the machine to get it down to zero, the normal setting was 1/2 oz is close enough for most. So thats the motto of most tire shops, close is good enough, stop wasting time and move on to the next car. I watched the shop tire techs at work one day, spin the tire, add the weight and then never check it again, just put it on the car.
