Trust Anti-Trust.

Monopoly.

So the merger of XM and Sirius was supposed to offer a menu of items and some discounts for smaller packages or choices of channels.

It ain't happened - yet.

So much for the promises made to the FCC before the two companies merged.

The stock holders get their dividends. The consumer gets squat. Thanks George Bush for another one.

I'm trying to digest this one too. We have XM channels and Sirius channels playing the same station, seems like an awful lot of redundancy. It's one company now why doesn't all channels play on XM and Sirius radios?

With what they owe and the shape they are in, just be glad that Sat radio in your truck is still working, instead of a useless piece of hardware. In my opinion, the FCC is the REASON they are hurting. It took them over a year to decide on the merger, which was ridiculous. But we all know why, one thing....NAB money. Sat radio would actually compete with those static filled AM & FM stations.

Give them a little time to recover. The auto industry slowdown hit them square in the face right after the merger was finally approved.

Apparently they just announced that they have a radio that will be released in April that can use both. However, you have to pay more for the subscription. Also, it does not say anything about the vehicles that have XM or Sirius already installed. I'm sure if you want both the current units will have to be changed out.
