ok i live in grande prairie alberta, and its gettin to be -38 and i need to do something about my antifreeze, can i just add some extra concentrate to the resivore or do i have to flush it out and add new stuff all together? it is already good to -35 but its gettin colder than that at night, i used an antifreeze guage, i do know a majority about trucks as i have rebuilt a couple in my time, bu tthese new systems confuzle me, give me a 1994 and i can do anything haha, thanks for any help i can get,

Adding to the reservoir isn't going to change the mix at all... at least not right away. You'll really need to at least drain some of the coolant and refill at the radiator. I find it's easiest to just remove the upper hose at the radiator and fill there until both the hose and radiator are overflowing. This seems to be the most reliable way to get coolant directly into the engine... which is what you need to do.

yeah, i just did my own antifreeze test with an expensive tester i picked up, and the little floating needle went way past -45 so i guess the guys who did my oilchange were idiots :P and didn't know how to use an antifreeze tester. anyways my fluid is good to over -45 :D so i dont even need to add any extra concentrate, but this is a great site and i will deffinately be posting here more, thanks everyone. :D
