P0121 Code 2007 Gmc Yukon

The check engine light recently came on and when I scanned it I got a P0121 code. Something with the throttle position sensor? Its a 07 yukon all stock except for an air intake made by injen. I called the dealer for a price on a Throttle position sensor and the parts guy said the truck doesnt have one ...weird. I guess I have to bring it in but I was wondering has anyone else had this problem? Truck is running good. I have an occasionally rough idle but you practically have to concentrate on it to realize and thats been the case since day 1. Gotta get this check engine light off.

It is called a throttle Actuator and it is about $275.00 at the dealer. It sits right on top of the engine. You can get the part cheaper from here:

Hang on...don't spend money yet//

Take the air inlet off and clean all the carbon build-up out of the throttle body. We have seen some tps codes set due to a clogged up throttle body.

Give it a try and clear the ses light.
