05 Hitch On A 2001?

My truck never had a trailer hitch in it and Ive been wanting to ad one lately and a guy near me has a oem class III off of a 2005 silverado. Just wondering if this will match up to my 2001 truck?

I really don't think anything changed on the frame where that mounts.

Go to a website that sells trailer hitches and go thru the lookup process for one for your specific truck. Chances are that the part number for the hitch that comes up will fit a range of model years. I would think that 99-2006 would be the same hitch.
