Quiet Mud Tires?

I'm wanting something aggresive like a mud tire but something quiet like an A/T that won't vibrate my new truck apart.

LT265/75/R16 and of course not a lot of dough

I've got some goodyear wrangler TD's on my truck in the same size you're looking for. Very quiet and great performing.

I run procomp mt the are pretty agresive and fairly quiet and only a slight hum . They are wearing pretty good . The down side they are a little pricey

Check out the TrXus tire from Interco, the guys who make Super Swampers. There is a thread in the Heavy duty forum about them that just got started. I can't give you any first hand experience as I still have the factory tires on, but these are the most likely replacement in the future. Web page at intercotire.com

Yeah, I was looking at either the trXus or the X-Terrain when I bought my tires, well the x-terrain won, but the trxus looked sweet and is supposed to be quite and wear well aside from looking like like it's bigger brothers, very nubby looking. And the price tag isn't too bad, I think it's about 120 bucks a tire for a 285

Why is it when you find the perfect tire ( or whatever) it never comes in your size. You have no idea how bad I want that STS even though they are $149.

I am gonna check around locally for the MT, to bad its not RWL. I also really like the Pirelli Scorpian a/t only $113 installed at Sears ;)

MTR's are the coolest and they last a heck of a lot longer then any MT or Supwer Swamper would. They are fairly quiet on the freeway and best of all they are number one for puncture resistance.

I put a set of 285 dueler M/T's on my HD and love them so far,not loud at all and they clean good in the mud also.

I'm planning on buying a set of Hoosier AT's but they do have a more aggressive tread called the DT, you should check those out on their website. very nice tire.

I throwing out another vote for the Goodyear MTR's. They hum a little but are quieter than I thought they would be. They are a little pricey, but I would buy them again.
