Couple Questions On A New Truck

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone I have a new to me 2007 Chevy Silverado and it has heated leather seats with the power seat option. Anyways it also has 2 memory settings. How do I set them for myself and someone else, and keep them in memory. Also anything the 07's are known for having problems, my 2000 did the cold start knock and that was it.

The memory is tied to the keyfob that opens the door. You will notice one is #1 and one is #2. What ever settings you use with #1 will always be used when you open with the #1 fob etc. Give #2 to whoever else drives the truck and they can set it to there specs.

Congrats on the new ride. To set the memory, adjust you seat, mirrors, etc. to the desired position and then just push and hold the memory position (1 or 2) until it beeps and you're all set.

That was true on the GMT-800, but on the GMT-900 the remotes aren't coded or marked 1 or 2. You have to just use the button on the door panel to select which setting should be used.

As far as I know, no. 26k miles and zero problems!

Thats why I love this site everyone helps everyone out. Love the truck, feels a little softer than my 2000 which is a good thing and it seems to have a little more pep too. What is the issue with the transmission at the bell housing

Anyone have a link to the thread

Not true...mine are.

i.e. when using the "Exit seating" feature, when you press unlock on the remote FOB, it returns to the memory seating assigned to that FOB. I found this out the hard way when I got my truck. I would set the seats the way I wanted them, then I would press the unlock button and the seat went all the way forward. I thought something was f'ed up. Then I discovered I had the #2 remote and it was putting the seats to the #2 memory position.
