Milan10 Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Just a high school student with a 92 pathfinder(don't kick me out), but i'm working my way up to a truck and just trying to learn everything i can. I really don't know much, but my dad has a 79 f-250(still use it every duck season), and i know he ordered it special with a different gear ratio for his 38 in tires. I was just wondering if and when a different gear ratio would be necessary. Thanks
BuckFeverZ Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Depends what gear ratio came stock in the truck. If the truck came with 3.42's, 33's could warrant regearing. If if came with 4.10's, then you might not have to regear until you get up to 37's.
