Electric Cooling Fan On A 2003?

Is there a good electric cooling fan and wiring kit for the '03 Silverado?

I'd like to swap out the engine driven fan for 1.

Just inquiring. TIA -Matt-

Trust me...keep your drive fan in....esp if you tow alot. the efans are not the best...they only come on if your coolant temp is above 190. The problem is if your trans temp is around 200 (too high in my book) it will not come on, till the coolant temp is around 190/200.

If you do get a ele. fan, i would also get a bigger trans. cooler... if you do a search for trans cooler there is a lot of information about this.

that is my .02 about this....

I have a 2006 Yukon Denali with the E-Fans...not that biggest fan of them.

I've been running a flex-a-lite unit on my 02 for years and it works perfectly. I have towed a car hauler w/ a Ford Mustang behind the truck a couple hundred miles and the trans temps didn't get affected either. You'll love em in the winter too since the engine warms up quicker and they rarely even run.

I have the E-Fans installed from the factory and when I got my Blackbear Tune, I told Justin to change the temp threshold for the fans kicking in. Now when my truck gets to 175 degrees, they kick in and stay kicked in. It is a little wasteful but at least I am running cooler.

I don't do a lot of towing with the truck. And if need be. I would go with a external Trans cooler.

I'm more interested in gaining a few HP on the swap.

What HP can typically be gained on a e fan vs stock engine driven fan?

Any part numbers for the e fans that best fit our trucks?

Adjustable thermostat?

Easy to wire?

Just curious. TIA -Matt-

Save your money if it's HP you're after and spend it on a tune.
