Biomechanical Airbrush Take Ii

Those pics I posted aren't of local artists unfortunately.

Airbrushing is expensive. I've been cheap, probably why I'm not happy. This guy was only charging me $1,500 for all four pieces, but if I don't like it it's a waste of $. I've sen gas tanks run as much as $6,000 depending on the artist.

The pics you posted are VERY cool. You should get a full body tattoo to match. Just think how cool you will be at the local truck show! (and later on as a grandfather)

Just once, some serious advice would be great.

OK, seriously. Invest that $1500 instead of wasting it on a few hunks of OEM plastic that nobody sees or cares about.

You asked....

I think the reason you don't get serious advice, is you're usually the first one to do something. Nobody's got any experience with this stuff, so we can't really be of a lot of help.

It couldn't be the fact that a few who shall remain nameless are sarastic SOB's now could it? lol

My question was, do you agree this guy's style is sh*t compared to what I asked for, and am I right to bail..nothing more nothing less. I don't care if this is something you would do Jeff, I enjoy showing my truck at truck shows and like to be different (as you all are aware of, hence the gg you al hate).

You want SERIOUS advice about some underhood plastic that you are about to spend big bucks on?

I said the pics were cool and I was serious. If it floats your boat to do it I say go for it. You are the only one who can decide if it is worth the $$$ or not.

Leaving the hood closed FTW!

Oh, I thought the question was more on what you should do. Hey, give me a break, I've been up for an hour and haven't eaten, yet.

And I do agree with you, it does look a little cartoony, and less "mechanical" and more "bio". I don't think it looks bad at all though, just not what you were going for.

I understand that Umberto, but my point was...why paint the OEM plastic crap? If you REALLY want to stand out above all the others, make some really cool custom shrouds from scratch out of aluminum or something.

I am going to the World of Wheels custom show tomorrow and I will be taking alot of pictures. I bet I see exactly ZERO customized factory plastic crap under the hoods.

ha Jim Jm Jim..do you guys ever bother reading?

This is all abut the problem I have with this guys style and what the project has turned into. Was looking for opinions on if you thought if I was getting anything that remotely resembled the style I asked for initially. I'm rather unhappy with it and don't see him resolving this in anyway.

Remotely close, yes. Looks as nice, no.

I like Jeff's idea. As nice as your gap guards and the GG turned out, why not fab up custom shrouds and covers to continue the theme?

I bet you see a lot of custom paint jobs though. A metal shroud..ho-hum. Anyone could do that, I made unique metal gap guards..whoopty do. Custom paint jobs get the wow factor if you have ever been to bike shows and such.

Oh yeah... I got that. I was just making a comment that the pics were cool. It really wasn't any deeper than that... Didn't think this was going to turn into a national security event.

Hope you get the original issue resolved.,
