I'd like to know as well. I hate having to fire up that damn compressor every time I need to use my impact for one or two bolts.

Take a look at this page. Electric impact heaven. The specs sure make them seem like a pretty strong impact.

Hey, thanks for the link :uhoh:

I'm kinda leaning towards one of those Dewalt ones right now.

Prices aren't that bad and 345 ft-lbs sounds like a ton of torque. If you buy one post your thoughts on it in here. I'd like to know how strong they really are.

I have a 12v cordless makita that I use for my small jobs then I have my compressor with my air impact as a backup!!

I don't really have room for mine but I made room!! Makes parking the truck and car a little hard but that is ok.

See, I'd rather just get a compressor, but there is no room at all in the garage which is a PITA :uhoh:

Is there an attic? A buddy of mine put his in the garage attic and wired it with a switch and plumbed it in. Pretty slick set-up. Quieter that way too.

+1 That is how I will do my next one, it works great. Just plumb a 1/2" ID pipe into your garage.

I have my compressor in the storage room in the basement of the house. Ran 1" copper pipe out to the garage. No noise in the garage. ;) (and since it's in a storage room in the basement, it's not really heard upstairs).

If you can't find a corded just go with an 18V Dewalt cordless. With a fully charged battery they kick ass.

 They get the job done.
