2008 Gmc Sierra 4x4

HI YALL IM NEW HERE. I FOUND THIS SITE WHILE LOOKING FOR LIFT KITS FOR MY TRUCK.

I HAVE A 08 CREW CAB SIERRA 4X4. I AM TORN TRYING TO DECIDE HOW BIG OF A LIFT I CAN PUT ON IT AND STILL GET IN MY GARAGE. I WAS WANTING A 6" LIFT WITH 33" TIRES. I ONLY HAVE 9" OF CLEARANCE ABOVE THE CAB CURRENTLY. I WAS WONDERING IF YALL THINK THAT COMBINATION WOULD BE TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT?

THAT MIGHT LEAVE YOU WITH AN INCH OR TWO BUT, IT'D BE TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT. I'D PROBABLY GO WITH THE 4" AND 33 INCH TIRES TO BE SAFE.

+1 AHHHHHHHHHHHH! Actually, measure the total distance from the ground to the highest point. I will measure my truck from the ground up. I have been meaning to do this anyway...

My 08' GMC Sierra has the BDS 6" suspension with 35" tires and will just barely fit in the garage without hitting but the problem is with the actual garage door opener and it's metal arms wanting to hit the cab. doesn't matter to me anyways because my wife parks the Impala in the garage and even if the truck would fit height wise it wont' fit lengthwise. The garage should have been built deeper to accomodate trucks.

AWESOME THANKS FOR THE REPLIES. YALL HAVE SOME VERY NICE TRUCKS. WE ARE GOING TRAIL RIDING THIS WEEKEND OUT TO A GLACIER HERE AND ILL TRY TO GET SOME PICS OF MY TRUCK WHILE IT IS STILL STOCK.

i measured from the top of my truck to the lowest point of the garage and there is 7 1/2" so it dont look like it will be a 6" lift. i may just do a leveling kit for now or a 3" lift for now.
