Tpms Reset Question

I have a 2008 Silverado 1500 4x2 2LT and there is no option on the DIC to reset TPMS, my 2007 Silverado had this, I find it odd that they'd remote that option. Is there any other way to initiate the reset besides the stock RKE remote or the Tech 2?

If the TPMS is actually installed on the truck, and it doesn't show up in the DIC...it is time to visit the dealer and have it activated.

 

It will all be covered under warranty.

Well it shows the wheel pressures, it just doesn't show the reset option on the DIC.

On the new models you can only do it with the RKE remote or the Tech2. They did away with the DIC option(on the lower trim level vehicles) and the headlamp/park brake engage that the olders ones had.

 

Some trucks are still equiped with a tire learn on the DIC, depending on options.

Wouldn't make any sense to keep that all the same. Sometimes GM does stuff that doesn't make sense to me, I guess GM considers anything that isn't LTZ/SLT lower trim levels. Thanks for the replies.
