Drls Not Working, Headlights Always On.

I just got an '03 Silverado. I don't have an owners manual, but I assume that the daytime running lights should come on during the daytime. They don't. Every time I start the truck the headlights come on automatically and stay on unless I manually turn them off. Is there some sort of option or setting that's making it do this? Maybe the light sensor on the dash is faulty?? I really don't care if the DRLs don't work, but I'd rather not drive around with the headlights and corner markers on all the time.

When my light sensor on the 99 went bad my headlights were on all the time. It wasn't expensive or too hard to replace, I'd try it first. A few minutes with the tech2 scanner could confim this, but I didn't have one and I doubt you do either.

Yeah, it sounds like the light sensor for the lights automatic mode is having issues. Or, did you tint the front glass?
