Washer Pump

I hope this is in the right area. My work van is a 03 gmc savana van with a 4.8, the van has sat for the last 2 days and tonight for no reason the washer pump came on all by its self with the key out of the ignition. I started the van and pushed the wash button and the pump while still running got a bit louder and when i let go of the button it was still running. I have not tested the wires to the pump yet to see if there is 12v or not with the key off, i moved the wires around a bit to see if the was a short close to the pump but it made no difference. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem? Any ideas would be great.
