this engine has 150 part (reg engine has 3000)

thats 90% less parts

this engine with 1000 cc can push a toyota corola in 75mph just with 1000-RPMs

it is 6 times stronger and 66% more efficient

and at least 3 times longer in life

yeah it is...imagen this thing with a turbocharger!!!

maybe 10 years from now trucks will be 3.0L and that will be big...i wonder about the TQ...cause the mazda prdeuced the rotary engine with alot of hp from small desplacement, bad mpg, and not enguh TQ to move the engine to a truck or SUV

Thanks for the links there Faisal. Interesting engine. Interesting concept. It may hold some promise in smaller applications right now.

Though I can see a few engineering issues when scaling up for larger applications. With such a large rotating mass that isn't circular, I can imagine the difficulties in balancing the engine throughout the full RPM range. There may also be issues in throttle response lag due to the momentum of that spinning exo-cam (for lack of a better term).

I agree.but as you can see the hole engine is made by a man in his work shop, with small budget

nothing is perfect...the engines we use today give from 33-40% of the real enrgy of the explosion. this thing give almst 90%

my point of view:

the engin will be shaky and big in diameter as you said but with the right amount of money it will be much much better than the riguler V-L shaped engines

 ..

by the way the first modle was CAMLESS...the second one was made like the engineer said for more power only and to be modified

True

Didn't Ford use a rotary engine in the Probe? I haven't seen one of those car's in year's.

Uhh...no.

From 1989-1992 it had:

2.2 I4 - 120HP

2.2 I4 Turbo - 145HP

3.0 V6 - 140HP

From 1993-1997 it had:

2.0 I4 - 118HP

2.5 V6 - 164HP

Are you sure? I had several RX7s that were awesome. Even a street ported 12A was practically unbeatable by anything that wasn't built to the teeth. Many non turbo cars easily ran in the low 13s. (modified of course) I like rotaries!

Check out this nut!

When you factor fuel economy, power band, incredible lack of torque, costs, incredible lack of anything in the lower half of the tachometer, and whatnot, I think they are inferior to piston engines (esp the LSx) in every way possible. JMO!!! :P They are different, but even technology of the 1950's owns them... I'm not talking about you Jim. LOL had to!!! :D
