Today at work I damn nearly cut the tip of my finger off with my utility knife

It bled like a stuck pig and I also cut 1/2 of the fingernail off. Doesn't really hurt but I'm sure it will be sore as fuk in the morning. It's a cock sucker trying to type without your left index finger.

That sucks, hopefully it heals back decently and quickly. Bet you pay more attention to what you're doing with a utility knife now though.

Dunk it in a bowl of alcohol. Anytime I do something like that, I do. It hurts like hell for a minute or two but come tomorrow it won't be anywhere near as sore.

well said!!! That being said, I lost a 1/4 tip on my right index finger...it hurt like hell!

Yup..gonna hurt.I worked with glass for 34 yrs. and have scars to prove it.Luckily was only stitched up once.Like Jeff said construction workers just gotta suck it up and keep goin',part of the job.Always keep a roll of Duct Tape around for those little emergencies.

Reminds me of when I was doing landscaping during the summers in college. I bounced a hedge trimmer off the bottom of a bush and onto my knee...yeah that'll leave some bite marks, but I grabbed a towel, wrapped it around, and finished the last hour or two of the day.
