Sorry for the poor pic quality on the truck, it's the only camera I had on me...First thing is going to be getting my stereo equipment put back in. Anyone tried a setup like the one below on the NBS? This was in an 05...

Welcome to the forum.

Was that box custom or did u buy it? I want one for my 06

Thanks to both for the welcome!

The box is from www.subthump.com, it came carpeted and a friend of mine covered with some vinyl to better match the leather. Great box for the space, mine had 2 10" Kicker Comp VRs in it, they hit hard for the amount of air space in the box. If it wasn't already sold I would have given you a great deal! :sigh: Subthump has some great boxes for hard to fit areas.

Hi there and welcome! :sigh:

I believe there are few threads in the audio forum here where people have done similar installs. I think that the main problem people have run into is the amount of room behind the rear seat for mounting things.

Thank you!

I think you will be quite happy with it. You might consider throwing some Poly-fil in there to fool the subs into thinking there is more air space, seems to help hit some of the lower frequencies.

I still love the 05-06 body style, I hated letting this one go...

You certainly won't fit all that stuff behind the seat.

I honestly haven't had a chance to even look behind the seat yet. Yikes, guess I'd better check that out tonight...

Nice truck! What Engine did you get? Since it's not a Denali, it's not possible to tell from the pix. (can't see the exhaust tailpipe in the pix....that's the other give away that I've found....6.0 and 6.2L exit under bumper on right rear, 5.3L exits behind right rear tire) Since it's a CC body, it's got to be the 6-speed. Tell us how you think it drives compared to your former truck!

There are more than a few folks on the forum thinking about 2009's, specifically about 5.3L/6-speed trucks, so especially if that's what you've got, let us know what you think!! Give us details on what you used to have, too, so we know where you're coming from.

Thanks!

Thanks!!

I went with the XFE (not solely for the 1 MPG advantage :seeya: ) so it has the 5.3 w/aluminum block. I'm really enjoying the 6-speed so far, takes a little getting used to the difference in shifting but I do like it. I was cruising at about 75 mph the other day and turning bout 16-1700 rpm. I was a little concerned with the 3.08 rear end but I rarely pull anything and the 6-speed seems to help out with take off (I tend to have a heavy foot and have not been disappointed with the power).

I was most recently driving a 06 Yukon with the 5.3 and before that was the 05 Sierra pictured above with 5.3 and I believe 3.42 rear end (wasn't that the optional one in 05). Loved the 05 gave it up for the ex  . I would say so far (still early) I like the feel of the 09 better than my 5 previous GMCs. Ride is great and love the looks!

Oh, and mileage so far seems better than my previous truck. I will post numbers when I put a few more miles on it.

Thanks to all for the welcomes!! I can't believe I didn't find this site earlier. Tons of great info and very helpful people from what I can tell so far! :seeya:
