Silverado Vs Sierra

Can anyone tell me the difference between a silverado and the sierra besides the grill and the labels???

Assuming you mean on gmt900 trucks (new body style)...Two things to add:

 

1. GMC has a wider metal front bumper, the silv has plastic end caps.

 

2. GMC has larger round fog lights, the opening will fit PIAA 540s, which are bright and have an excellent light pattern. The silv are weak, after seeing them in action I decided not to add them to my gmt900--more decoration than useful. That said, I've not seen them with an hid upgrade, which could make them more useful depending on the quality of the reflector.

And yes..GMC's are made with superior parts and all rejected GMC parts get used on the Chevy's.

Take dealership into account too. The service department at the Chevy lot in the town I grew up in doesn't know their ass-holes from a hole in the ground. My parent's won't even touch a Chevy for fear of having to deal with them. As for me, the GMC dealer just offered a better deal.

I love it!! Superior parts and I believe they are all put on and bolted down better as well! On my sixth GMC and haved loved em all!!

GMC for 2007 to 2009 have a much better looking front end, the Chev's have a gosh awful looking grill and bumper for those years, looks like an over sized handle bar mustache. Also GMC is made in Canada and the USA, Chevs are made in Thailand

This has been discussed over and over and the same jokes are made over and over (rejected parts, etc). Bottom line, if GM had to cut one line of trucks it wouldn't be the Chevy line. Go with something that won't look like an antique in about 3 years when GM is bankrupt and forced to sell nothing but Chevy and Cadillac. Yes that is speculation.
