Silverado Vs Sierra

I could have bought either one, I wanted a black one regardless and the GMC in black doesn't look near as good as the Chevy because of the fenders imo! The grille can be changed so it is what it is on that.

I choose the Silverado based on looks .. just personal preference .. I felt the GMC's look too much like the old body style , I almost confuse them sometimes ..

Hard to argue with that.

I believe that settles it once and for all. (At least until the next redesign)evilgrin0013.gif

I'm not swayed by that- the powertrain wasn't great in those year Fores but they look wicked with a mild lift.

Hmmm.. that's uncanny! My bro said he'd never own a new GMC since he said it looked like a Ford (stupid heavy GM fanboy type of guy).

But that being said, like my buddy says "WTF... do all automakers subscribe to the same styling magazine?" Hate for anyone to have an original idea out there!

Here the difference : GMC=Gay Mans Companion :thumbs:

CHEVY ???

But I'm not be biased at all.

Just kidding, don't all GMC owners get upset now.

When I ordered my new 2008 truck I visited both Chevrolet and GMC dealers.

The computer/data software system used by most is the same and the truck costs and options were the same.

Yet, in some dealerships that sell both Chevrolet and GMC the salesperson stated that the GMC cost more or was more expensive.

The cost with options was exactly the same.

I ordered a GMC only because it had a full one piece front chrome bumper. Even on the Work Truck. That's it.

I had a 1983 GMC S-15 High Sierra. It had the 3/4 ton package on it and was fully loaded. It was a great truck. I put over 400,000 miles on it. That truck, other than the emblems and grille, was the same as a chevy S-10. They both used "GM Parts", and most people I knew thought it was an S-10.

I like the 09 Silverado I have and I have always been a chevy guy. Even way back when I had my 64 Malibu SS. The only thing I don't like on the truck is those end caps on the bumper. If I had the money I would put a 2011 HD front bumper on it. Other than that it seems that the GMC is a nice truck but a little more expensive, but then they are an upgrade to the Chevy. I wouldn't hold a grudge on anyone for what they drive.

There should be no price difference between GMC and Chevy, options being equal they are the same truck.

I like the looks of the gmc better but I couldn't get one exactly how I wanted without ordering so I got the Silverado. (Same dealer)

Same here. But my '09 Chevy is growing on me, day by day. Now if its 5.3 would just grow into a 6.2

What I don't understand was the last model of Avalanche. That front clip looked amazing, yet Chevy never put in a "normal" truck.

I'd have bought that in a heartbeat...
