Dear Jerry Jones:

Did you wake up with a nice steaming cup of stupid this morning?

You traded a starting cornerback, a position you were already thin at to begin with, for John Kitna. Let me say that again, JOHN KITNA. You know, the same John Kitna who wasn't even good enough to start for the 0-16 Lions last year. You cut Brad Johnson and then trade a starting defensive player for someone who is barely better than Brad's old ass and should probably be out of the league along with Johnson. Absolutely brilliant...

Word of advice from a lifelong fan: Stop drinking your own Kool Aid, hire a real football person and stay the hell out of his way. It's already been proven that your way doesn't work, or should I remind you of your puppet coaches and 3 consecutive 5-11 seasons?

He hoping to improve to 6 - 10?

I'm embarrassed by his idiotic moves. If he had not had Johnson years ago, there wouldn't be any Superbowl appearances... What the hell was that Barry Switzer period? What about Pacman and TO? What about leaders? Romo and Bollinger?

WTF? WTF? WTF? WTF?

I yearn for the Landry years when the team had integrity. I hate thug sports.

It look's like there is a lot of stupid going on in the NFL. I really don't understand what these owners are thinking.

Dude don't even get me started on Switzer. It's my firm belief that the team actually did most of the stuff on their own and won that SB under him out of pure spite since everyone was knocking the team and not giving them a dynasty. Hell the only reason why Jones signed Deion before the '95-'96 season was so no one else could have him and if you think about it, the rest of that team was Jimmy Johnson's. Jerry never has learned that the stars don't make the Cowboys, the Cowboys make the stars by drafting talent that will mesh in the key areas. Yes there have been exceptions and off the field incidents over the years but think about it, other than Charles Haley, what established star did Dallas ever sign who truly contributed to a Super Bowl nucleus that wasn't already in place?

He should have learned after that ordeal but he didn't. He should have let Parcells do his thing and stayed the hell out of the way but again, he didn't. Now here we are going the wrong direction yet again. Pacman was a joke, TO is past his prime and is going to be a cancer if they keep him, just like he's been on his other 2 stops. Romo will be ok I think. He's shown too much potential not to be but they have to surround him with the right teammates and coaches. No one has ever won a Super Bowl on their own.

Maybe he is planning on buying the right to Vick.

If that happens I'm going to be terribly tempted to go to the new stadium and break out the $300 paver I paid for and put my family's name on. Yes I realize it's ridiculous to do something like that but I wanted something special for my kids to see one day and also both of my brothers who are both Cowboy fans as well.

Jerry Jones is rapidly approaching the senility of Al Davis...

Exactly what I told one of my brothers less than 30 minutes ago. He's Al Davis, Jr in the purest of forms.

    • This is NOT impact damage nor neglect. There were previous class action lawsuits because of such paint preparation st GM manufacturing plant. Not just the Cherry Red Color. This paint is applied in three processes to obtain the desired color.  The manufacturer will cover for 36 months or 36k miles only. That rust is actually corrosion because of the paint process failure. Corrosion is covered for 100,100 miles or a certain months. However their corrosion doesn't include this type. Go figure. Clearly manufacturer knew from previous paint issues. This started 3 weeks ago out of the blue.
    • Is it time to put a piece of tape over the CEL?
    • consider doing electrical testing?  I would guess some power or ground wire/connection has a problem.   alldata.com has wiring diagrams, connector pinouts and diagnostic procedures you can use to find where the problem is.
    • can you tell if the reader is actually trying to get codes, and the pcm is reporting none, or is your reader just silently failing because it's not communicating with the pcm?
    • Any joy with this truck seems to be short-lived.   The CEL for P0172 ("bank 1" too rich) is now "intermittent".   I'm not sure where to check, or re-check, and my energy to keep chasing problems with junk is wearing thin. The P0172 seems to set as I'm coming to a stop, completely off the throttle, when fully warm. At least, that's what it's done the 3? times it's set.   Everything appears normal on the scanner EXCEPT long term fuel trim. There's only one bank on this vehicle because it's an OBD 1.5 with only one upstream O2 sensor. At idle, it's around -16.4% and will dip to -18% occasionally at idle or off-throttle. LTFT approaches 0 when throttle is held at 2500rpm. Short term appears normal, much closer to zero all the time. The LTFT tells me the engine is running rich at idle but compensating at higher load. But, why?   The EVAP purge valve doesn't appear to be leaking/sucking fuel vapor continuously. Is it sticking just as I come to a stop and the engine is choking on fuel vapor and sets the P0172? But that doesn't explain the persistently negative LTFT. Disconnecting the purge valve doesn't seem to make any difference.   I suppose that leaves another dang issue with the fuel injector. A leaking fuel pressure regulator, a new leak in the spider, or a leaking fuel injector/poppet valve I didn't see, or a small crack in one of the spider legs.   The vacuum line leading to the fuel pressure regulator doesn't have raw fuel in it. It doesn't even smell like fuel when it's pulled off, not until you suck air through it, then you can tell it leads to a fuel component. I'd consider that normal? Nothing is signaling this is a FPR issue from the outside, at least.   The oil smells like fuel but it's not building volume. I've noticed most oil in most engines smells like fuel to some degree so it's hard to say if the smell is an issue or not. Or if the engine just still smells like fuel because the crankcase was full of it a few hundred miles ago. But it's been changed twice since that original issue of the leaking fuel line dumping fuel into the intake.   Patience is running very thin. Every win seems to be accompanied by two steps backwards, or another issue that leads to removing at least the top half of the intake manifold. Enough! LOL
