Brake Control Tow Package Wiring

I have a 2007 1500 sierra classic with the tow package my brake control works manually but not off the brake pedal I am using the factory pigtail

I think he has a 800 tho, so it might be diff since he should have the connector already.

With the classics, its pretty easy, wire up the pig-tale, and plug it in the port under the dash (drivers side above your left foot on the firewall) Just match up the colored wires.

I have the same problem with a 2007 1500 Suburban, but I had to wire the brake controller's pigtail to blunt cut wires under the dash. No power coming from the blue/white brake light switch when brakes are applied (all brake lights do work).

Checking the fuses in the under hood fuse box revealed that fuse 43 was burnt. It is labeled Miscellaneous (Ignition). Replacing it restored power to the brake controller's pedal input.
