Hey, I am having a noise that sounds like marbles being shaken in a coffee can from my 2006 crewcab 1500. I've got about 39000 miles on it. I took it into the dealership and they rebuilt parts of my trans under warranty to no avail (didn't know anything was wrong with the trans, but they fixed it anyway). I still have the noise. It occurs erratically when I am coasting in first gear or reverse. I am not sure whether its the transmission, rear end, or u-joints (It was around before the gears, so I'm sure it is not caused by them). After the truck shifts into second the noise goes away. I am really at the end of my rope, the dealer doesn't seem to have the ability to locate it, and its very annoying. Additionally, I am not getting a loud creaking noise any time I let on or off of the gas from a stop essentially. If I apply a little gas while in drive but with the brake applied, it makes no noise. It seems to only be when the truck is rolling. Both of these have made me crazy, I just want to know what is up and if anyone can help. The dealer doesn't know and I need this gone!
