Front End Line Up?

I have a '99 c2500 (8600 gvwr) with 79000 miles on it. Today i went to get a front end line up and the guy said that he needed to install somthing called a "cam bolt" in the front end to line up the caster and camber. He said the truck currently didnt have one in it and it would cost and extra $185.00 to install. This seemed sort of weird to me so i didnt have the line up done. Has anyone else experienced this or any other weird extra costs when they had their 2500 lined up?

As an ex-technician, yes, some vehicles do need camber bolts to correct the alignment. As for 185 to install, thats kinda high, the dealer I used to work for only charged an extra 50 bucks to install them, plus alignment.

yeah it probly does need the cam plugs knocked out, 185 porbly buys a 4 peice cam bolt set and the shop will only use as few as possible, they`ll pocket the rest. bastards. ask if you can keep the kit.
