2 BE5-6081-H0 Front

2 BE5-6501-H1 Rear

Got them from e-shocks.com . Great price . Great service . Fast shipping - 27 hours from Michigan to Toronto . No problem there .

Truck is 2002 Silverado Crew Cab 2wd dually .

Got them installed in less than an hour hoping to eliminate rear "jolt" . No such luck .

Fronts are no better .

Looking for reviews on better products .

These are a disappointment .

I installed Bilsteins on my 2500 and it really stiffened the ride up. The body roll went away and really improved road handling. You're going to be hard pressed to find a better shock that's not user adjustable.

Something else possibly wrong?... The bilstein shocks are top notch.

Describe "jolt" It could be coming from the slop in the driveline. You could drive the drive shaft and pack the slip yoke splines full of grease and see if the "jolt" goes away.

I'll be driving on the highway and go over a span joint or a pothole and I get a kick in the ass . No absorption at all . The truck is a 2002 Silverado 3500 CC tow truck so I'll be looking at going back to the spring shop where I got them installed and seeing what he can do for the ride .

Maybe remove a couple of springs .

My OEM's were shot but the ride was alot better early on .

Maybe remove a couple of springs .

Why would you want to remove any springs? Did you install additional springs when you put on the shocks?

Additional springs were installed when it was converted to a tow truck .

You expect a 1 ton dually to ride like a Cadillac?? :P

Uh , no but I know how the ride was when I got it and it was alot smoother than this and right back at ya JA

Whoa easy on the locals!, lol beleive me he`s just trying to be funny, we all try to do that here....

So when did it start riding rough?, or doing this thing over the bumps? I know my dads one tonne had overloads that would make a wicked clunk if there wasn`t anyting in the box, but throw a few hundred pounds in there and she would quite right up, Sucks to here about the bilstiens, i was considering a set actually myself...

I'm still considering a set myself since they are giving one away for free. My stock shocks were shot about 100,000 miles ago. Not really but I would really like to get some. The truck has been riding a little rough lately.

One thing you might could do is add another shock per side on the back axle. If the springs were changed than the shock needs to be changed to be able to dampen with the new higher spring rate.

Bilsteins are great shocks for off-road applications where you expect large suspension excursions. For highway travel where the typical "shock event" is a pavement crack, the stock tubes are much more effective.

Now there's an answer .

I should've gone for the OEM's .

For others looking for a combination of ride comfort and load capability , GM could be the better choice . Imagine that .

Bilsteins are a disappointment .

The fronts are as harsh as the backs .

When you're logging alot of mileage , the ride counts quite a bit .

Part of the reason I waited awhile was that they had the 3 for 1 sale . The Canadian supplier told me about it .

Eshocks.com had the best price even after Canadian dollar exchange and customs charges . Great service , too .

It's a rough ride on these . Would go OEM next time or maybe I'll take the hit and do it soon .

I'm not a city boy. 1/2 of my driving is on dirt roads and the other half is on shitty county roads. So I will still go with the Bilsteins like I had on my 98 1/2 ton. The stock shocks wear out too quick for me. Both my 04 and my FFIL's shocks are bad and he bought his brand new in 05 and it has only 45,000 miles on it. I will take my chance for the rougher ride of the Bilsteins considering that the ride is already rough unloaded with D load 285 A/T tires and a 3/4 ton HD. Good luck finding what works for you.
