What Kind Fo Cam Do You Recommend?

I am not a genius about cams so can anyone tell me what they would recommend me getting???

IMO, I'd look into a custom tune first. You might get exactly what your looking for from that. Swapping cams isn't too good for your warranty. Search around here a bit. There are several threads where this is discussed. Others will chime in soon.

I recommend not taking cam advice from anyone on a forum, a buddy, a guy you know, a friend of a friend, a guy that use to race (place what ever kind of car here), a guy that currently races, etc, etc...you get what I am going for here.

 

CALL A CAM COMPANY!!! This does not mean call Jegs or Summit and get some tech guys recommendation for a cam either. CALL A CAM COMPANY...Bullet, Comp, Lunati, and so on. I wouldn't call Crane .

 

I also agree with txab. If you don't have a custom tune yet. I would try that first. You will be amazed at the difference, plus you will need a custom tune to get the most out of a new cam and all the good tuners will retune for free.

I agree though, the internet we access is 90% shit. I'd call thunder racing or Texas Speed and Performance. They are LSx nuts and have custom and off the shelf cams.

yea jeff at thunder racing tuned mine the beginning of the year. Yes!! a huge difference when i got it tuned. Instead of a 15.6 now i run a 15.2. All i have is a borla exhaust and a tune.
