Leveling Kit Rancho Quick Lift

hey everyone this is my first post i have used this form for a lot of info so i just what to give some back.!!

i installed the rancho quick lift on my 08 gmc sierra crew cab about 6 months ago and i am getting them removed today. the ride sucked so bad that my girl friend even said that she hated them, now she never notice anything when i add aftermark part to the truck its just a yaya. i bought the quick lift struts for the front the 9000xl for the back and the wireless controller but never did install it just wanted to try the shocks first. now the front quick lifts are either to stiff or i bounce down the road on a low setting. the rear shock where perfect tho so i am going to leave them on!

when installing the rancho quick lift i noticed that you had to compress the spring almost twice as much as compared to the stock sturt i should have brought them back then, and when installed on the truck it stressed the f**:) out of everthing to the point where i lost ball joint upper and lower on bought sides!!!!!!!!

my advice to everyone say away from leveling kit do a lift or stay stock!!!!!!

and do not buy rancho ql's garbage its just a expensive way to lose ball joint!!

thanks M

Not all leveling kits are junk. A lot of members on here run the Rough Country 2" kit (me included) and I haven't heard of any major complaints or part failures.

The Bilstein leveling kit is nice as well, but spendy.

No problems with my SkyJacker leveling kit whatsoever. :)

ya i am not saying that all leveling kits are junk just rancho quick lift will in my application anyways.

i don't think i will ever level my truck again this is the second time trying something new before i had a pro comp spacers and i didn't like those either. i am thinking about a 4 or 6 inch lift next but no rancho for strut, but for shock i am still sold on the 9000xl and still on the rear of my truck and are great so far

thanks M

Well. If you didn't care for for the ride with a spacer, you aren't going to like a suspension lift either. Sounds like maybe your expectations are a little high. :D

Lifted trucks ride....well....like lifted trucks.
