Loose Seat Cushion

08 Silverado 1500 4x2. The driver's seat cushion is loose. I was doing some cleaning on my truck and noticed that the front of the cushion isn't attached to anything and that I can lift the cushion up an inch or more. I went to the passenger side and tried lifting it, didn't move.

There a TSB or anything for this problem? I did some searching and came up with nothing for this problem. Thanks.

Anything I can do to easily fix this? I don't get how the seat comes loose in the upward direction, it either has downward pressure on it or has no pressure on it. Unless there are clips of some sort that got unhooked.

I'll have to see, but I'd rather not take the seat out if I don't have to. Hopefully someone will chime in.

There is supposed to be a long plastic clip that clips to the metal that is shown on the raised cushion pick mine does the same but my clip is broke.

Update on the situation, that's exactly what the problem was. Now I see how it is capable of coming off, stupid design in my opinion. But your tip helped me out. Thanks.

No problem I've tried many times to fix mine but the plastic never stays over the metal piece.

I found mine off several months ago. I actually wraps around the frame and hooks on the top of the rail. It hasn't came back off yet.

My leather seat does the same thing. The cushion has been replaced 2 times. I now fix it myself.

I had the same problem there is a TSB for dealers to take 3m tape the black heavy double sided stuff about 1/4" and stick it to 6 points on the metal on the front and rear. Then sit in the seat and clip the cover back over mine has been fine. I think the repair is posted on here somewhere as a dealer tsb bulletin.
