Bedliner Recommendations?

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I want to get a bedliner, but I'm not sure what kind to get. Drop-in? Spray-on? Roll-on?

I'd (obviously) like to save some money, but I want to get something as high quality as possible...

Is there stuff you guys have had good or bad experiences with?

I like the spray in if its a truck that sees alot of personal use. If its a work truck that other people aside from yourself would use I would recomend the drop in style. They seem to give you alot of dent protection.

If its your personal truck you arent going to toss things in that would dent it and you may really like the spray in neat and clean look.

I have had both and will probably do spray in on the latest addition as its a personal use truck.

I know huh! The first thing I saw on this site was the search function. There really does need to be an "orientation" of sorts before posts are allowed, seriously. BTW, welcome to the forum.

I can tell you roll-ins are crap from experience.

Drop-ins work but make more noise and can potentially wear through the paint and trap moisture causing rust.

Spray-ins are he best solution but can be more costly. If you do go with the drop-in though, make sure to check with the spray-in dealer. They'll likely have many of them sitting around and be willing to sell them to you cheap.

I say do the roll on liner then put a drop-in on top of it. That way your covered... The drop-in had to wear through the roll on first before causing rust, and you get dent protection! :nonod: That's what i'm doing!

I would do a Rhino spray in first to protect the bed from the drop in, then a drop-in for dent protection, then have your drop-in Line-X'ed. :D

The beds of trucks these days are pretty impervious to rust as I'm amazed mine is in as good a shape as it is.

If you are hauling or just need protection then a spray in is the absolute best, hands down. You get a lot better access to tie downs and the non slip and non scratch, and non rust properties are amazing. if you just toss a lot of heavy crap in then get a bed mat and then a used drop in liner. The bed mat will protect the paint and the liner will provide far superior dent protection.
