Trans Fush...not Sure If I Can Do This...

I am about to get a trans flush and up grade my trans cooler...(7.5x11 stack plate).

I talked to my dealer and he said that he can only drop the pan of the trans (he said that it will get out 90-95% of the fluid???)....I am going to replace the stock fluid with AMSOIL fluid....

Is this ok to only get out 90 or 95% of the stock fluid and mix ASMOIL fluid with some of the stock fluid?

The reason why I am asking is because if not I will have find a guy that can do a full trans flush...

If he's only dropping the pan, hes NOT getting 90-95% of the fluid out. He's only getting about 5-6 quarts tops.

You can disconnect the tranny cooler lines and use the transmissions own pump to transfer the fluid. 1 bucket with the new, one to catch the old. When you see new, you stop. And yes, It's ok to mix.

how many total quotes are in the tranny?

how affective will it be to just drop the pan and add in full syn. fluids mixed with the stock fluids????

I am really tossing up just getting it done by another guy...to do a full flush.

I followed Amsoil's instructions when I did mine. It was very easy since I had the grille out and the trans line unhooked anyway. I too upgraded my cooler to a 11x11 x 3/4 Stacked plate cooler. I have attached one pic below but will be happy to send you about 8 shots and kind of a blow by blow of the process of installing the cooler. If you are towing in hot weather, you are absolutely doing the right thing.

I would need your e mail address. You can send it to me in a Private Message if you do not want it posted.
