Hypertech Power Programer 3

I have a hypertech power programmer 3 for 97 GM trucks.

With the 4.3/5.0/5.7/7.4 vortec engines. Part # 370202

 

May fit other years not sure.

 

Asking $200 obo.

 

Or trade for a tuning laptop or wet nitrous kit, could put money on top depending. __________________

i know you said you dont know if it would work for any other years, but i have a '96 and I'd like to maybe buy it... (im a noob to these programmers) what exactly will this do for me? and do you think it will have any luck for a '96

nice...what kind of gains could you get? i read some stuff from their website about this exact programmer, but they only touched lightly at numbers and things.

idk, i used it raise my top speed and rev limiter, i just have it set on 87 Octane.

 

also when i get bigger tires i can then adjust it, plus ive used about 20 times to read DTC's

 

and BTW i only paid $100 for it from a member that used to be on this site

I've got one that I used on my '96 5.7L I might be willing to sell. I don't have hard HP numbers, but I had my truck setup for basically max power, 93 octane gas etc. It made a hell of a difference especially when I was pulling anything.

I got the truck with in installed and havnt driven with it in stock form to say how much it did.

 

This one doesnt have set octane level its just performance tune or not, i dont know if its a older unit or what.

It also doesnt read DTCs.

This programmer will work for 96-97 gm trucks, the #370202 was deisgned to be used optimally with the hypertec 160f powerstat, but will work with factory 180f, power and torque gains are in the 10-15% range, but you can e-mail hypertec with the part number and your application and they can give you exact numbers. It is capable of changing speed limiter, shift rpm and firmness, correct for axle ratio changes, and adjust for tire size. It does not read trouble codes.

 

i`ve been trying to sell the one i got for quite some time....but i will not hijack the OP thread... Just giving you more info about it!
