Dic Re-programming

Getting right to the point...

I'd like to add Transmission temp, and hey, coolant temp and engine oil temp too, to the DIC...I know some of the higher model GM cars have it, vette, GP, Impala, etc...and since GM didn't think us 1/2 ton 4L60E guys needed it, so they didn't give us the simple analog trans temp gauge. :puke:

Obviously the PCM sees all of this information, and its perfectly available..so, basically I'm curious, what would be the easiest way to go about monitoring new parameters?

You would have to find someone who can program these. Its all coded info that must be written and programmed into the cluster. Too much hassle IMO. If you have the money and the go to guy, go for it.

I am interested in having the speedometer in the DIC display like the Impala's have. Is it also unlikely that this can be done? The steering wheel blocks the speedometer half the time, thats why I am interested.

The scan gauge can have the trans temp programmed into it, it's part of the x-gauge. That is one of the reason I bought one.

I have an Aeroforce, pretty cool little gauge. I got it specifically for trans temp but it reads a whole lot more through the OBDII port.

I thought you had the AeroForce. If I am wrong is yours a cheaper alternative?
