Drying Off

Hey peeps, It's Easter sunday and it is really getting nice outside. This might sound stupid but, I was wondering what all of you are using to dry off your trucks. I have been using the wifes old bath towels but on this truck it almost looks like it is leaving micro scratches. I'm sure there is something alot better to use. Need it for my camaro also. Thanks and have a good holiday.

I use Costco microfiber towels. Large pack of yellow towels. They have a pretty good price tag. Forget what it is.

Yes, I know that's not a "spotless" way to dry one.. But, it's not a show-car. It's a truck.

Pure 100% real chamois. If kept properly it will last years and removes water with zero paint damage. If the chamois gets dirty from drying your vehicles, they need to be cleaned better before drying.

 

Microfiber towels would be my second choice. I would never dry with terry cloth towels. They leave microscopic scratches behind that add up over time.

Don't blame the chamois. If you have to go behind a real chamois with something else, you aren't doing something right. A properly used chamois leaves exactly zero residue behind.

They work perfectly but they do require maintenance. Most people simply do not take care of them and expect them to work magic. What you choose to use really doesn't matter as long as you have something that works for you. By simply USING something to dry your truck youare ahead of 90% of truck owners!

Microfiber chamois FTW, but I do follow up with a clean, dry, soft towel behind it.
