Avic F700bt Pioneer Nav Unit

Well i took the plunge this weekend and ordered one of these untis up, currently only going to change out the head unit and maybe get a sub and amp for the first phase. Just do not have the money to replace everything atm so looking to get the most bang for my buck.

Im not the best at stereo stuff so i think im going to have this professionally done, my question is what should i expect to pay to get the head unit swapped and working with the current bose speakers. I know i will need a adapter "which one by the way, looks like there are two different kinds" and a thing for the steering controls if i want them to work also? I just dont want to get ripped off, i have heard installs ranging from 60 bucks to over 200 for just the head unit install labor.

Also does anyone run a single downfire sub in any of these ext cab trucks, looking at maybe a box from subthump, as the JL stealth boxes are just crazy over priced for what you get.

i just picked up a box and sub from ebay. the seller was rodney74. he gave me the sigle 10 downfire box and an idq10v.3 sub for 250 shipped. the sub is more of a sq sub but it's made from 3/4 mdf and looks pretty solid.

Wow is all i can say, this head unit is freakin amazing imo. Ipod setup works good, nav is very easy to read and understand, and it looks like a factory unit once the shop trimmed the back plate to allow a flush fit. Also bluetooth works great pairing right up to my krave phone. Not bad for under 400 bucks not to mention it even sounds decent with the factory bose speakers.

I think a lot of the reviews you see on the web that hate all it's quirks are either perfectionist or just hate pioneer because i cant see any downs to this unit for it's cost. If your looking for a great ipod playing nav displaying radio i would give this one a look.
