Gm Not So Smart

So as many as you my know I am deployed to Iraq and a squad leader with 6 soliders and 4 NCO's in my squad. The first time I deployed GM was working though AAFES to sell new cars to the soldier over here though the factory at a little over factory pricing. So far this deployment 6 out of my 10 troops have bout new cars/truck though this program. Too bad GM pulled out a few years go, 2005 I think.? On of my soldiers only talked about the '10 Camaro SS but got impatient and bout a mustang GT. 3 others love the look of my Silvy and wanted one but decided to get the F150 bc they could get it cheaper while over here. The other 2 ended up buying ford but never looked at any GM cars/trucks bc they knew they wouldnt be able to get them out here.

I dont see how they would be losing money this way? The sales people work for AAFES and no car company sends people over here. Its just like ording your truck though a dealership you go though pick out all your options and then you pick a date for delivery at a dealership of your choice. You can even get financing for them through the car company. It just seems like GM is loosing a lot of sales to other companies who are doing this.
