Hey guys/gals, I know there has been ALOT of discussion on window switches i.e. what one's work on which vehicles etc. But I found this picture on Ebay and I am wondering if anyone knows the GM part number for the driver side master window switch shown is this picture? I am specifically looking for Ebony but this looks like the style I need. Any help would be great.

That is a pic of the LT2/SLE2 style dash. Those window switches are all the same silver color, regardless of interior color. If you check with MS3DALE, he can tell you the part number. He's a GM parts guy and he has that very switch in his truck. That is the window/lock/mirror switch panel for the power fold mirrors.

Kilo-9,

Thanks for the fast response, I'll try to PM MS3DALE for an answer. The ebony color I am referring to is to match the interior door trim color I have in my truck (same color as the top of the door panel). Thanks again... :)

I heard my name mentioned :) .....Chris are you talking about me again!?

Anyway...The part number for that switch is 15906881.

As Chris mentioned...That one is for a truck with the "DL3" power-fold/turn-signal mirrors, and is the same one thats in my truck.

What about the part number for the switch on the other side? I have heard that in order to activate the power folding feature one must have both switches in order to get both mirrors to work.

Now, for something outside your area of expertise, Rich:

A.) Do you know if that is the case?

B.) would a simple reprogram make them function with the new switches?

The part number for the passenger side switch is 15906882.

On the other questions...I don't know,I woulda' thought if you had both, and programmed them, you would be OK,But Andy said he failed on his attempt. :)

Thanks MS3DALE, those are the part numbers I have seen before on other forums. Where I get confused though is the bezel that goes around the switch what part number is this in Ebony? When you order it does it come as the switch and bezel?

asilverblazer, you said you tried and failed did you have the correct bezel that holds the switch or the woodgrain one? :) I would think all of the wiring is there its just a matter of changing the connector ends...

The colored piece as well as the silver switch area are all one piece. They are not separate, just ask the guy at my dealer who tried to pry the silver from the ebony right after I first got it! He f'd it up nicely and they had to order me a new one.

I am also curious as to the bolded question above.

Bezel was not the issue, there are several harnesses that go to and from the switches. while you will be able to plug your new mirror into the new switch, you won't be able to plug anything else into them, so nothing will work because all the power and stuff coming in to the switch from the truck won't plug in.

Yep, took a look at the electrical schematic for this and I finally see this is a dead end because it also means changing the wiring from the switches on my truck to the BCM-next to impossible. I guess I'll have to wire my own switch for the mirror fold-in fold out option and puddle lights. Good rainy day summer project!!!
