Chevy Tahoe Check Engine Light

So I bought a 2001 chevy tahoe in January. About a month ago, the check engine light came on so I went and had the code read - "air system bank 2 fault". I checked the air filter and its practically new, so I'm guessing its either the O2 sensor or a failed air pump (so says the autozone paper they gave me). so basically, im wondering if anyone has any tips on how to tell which one it is? I'm not very good with cars so I don't know where to look under the hood for those two.

Welcome to the site. How many miles on the tahoe and what was the code number? Try cleaning the maf sensor with an electrical contact cleaner and clear the code by disconnecting the neg side of the battery for 10 minutes. Do not touch the little sensors.

If the the light returns, then good chance it's the o2 sensor. I believe you have 4, and they are pricey, so having a mechanic diagnose it might be a good idea.

Air pump?

I think I'd get a qualified tech to hok it up and check the codes with a good scanner. No offense to Autozone but you get what you pay for.

THEN you will have a much better idea how to tackle this problem.
