what all is needed for a motor swap from a 5.3 to the 6.0 v-max in a 2wd ex.cab silverado?

Why would you want to do that? Just get a custom tune if you want a little more HP and torque. Swapping a motor to a little bit larger will kill the value on the truck. Big money in a swap then what its worth.

I would think it would be a pretty easy swap. Everything would be direct bolt in. Your either going to need your PCM tuned or the pcm tuned that comes with it. The Vmax comes with the 4L70e trans, so you'd need that portion of it cleared up. I think your truck comes with the 6-speed?, so some tuning would be required for that.
